There are a number of easy ways to recycle, and they all start with YOU. When you recycle, you not only save landfill space but also contribute to a greener, cleaner tomorrow. Here are just a few ways...
- Solid Waste operates two recycling centers in St. Landry Parish located at 2717 West Landry Street in Opelousas and 450 North CC Duson in Eunice.
- The centers are open Monday thru Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- We accept cardboard, newspaper, magazines, and other paper products, aluminum and metal cans, and most plastic products.
- Both locations operate a buy-back center where individuals are paid for items they deliver. You can make money from items that are usually thrown away. Come recycle and we will pay you!
- If you choose to not get paid for recycling items, you have the option to donate the money to any school in St. Landry Parish. How great is that? You can help save landfill space and contribute to helping any school located in St. Landry Parish!
