HAZARDOUS WASTE

St. Landry Parish Solid Waste has one household hazardous waste collection day a year. It is held the first Saturday in November.

Our next Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day is scheduled for Saturday, November 5, 2016.

Our 2015 Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day was an overwhelming success! Thanks to all who participated by dropping off their hazardous materials. A special thanks to all who assisted with the collection.

At the 2015 event, over 400 St. Landry Parish residents safely disposed of their household chemicals, oil, tires, paint, electronics and other hazards, diverting over 10 tons of materials from our landfill and helping to protect the soil and water from these pollutants.
